EDWARDSBURG PUBLIC SCHOOLS HOMECOMING 2016 VIDEO
Volunteer Background ChecksVolunteers play a very important role in the educational experience offered at Edwardsburg Public Schools. We are thankful for the generous support of hundreds of individuals who donate their time in our schools. Because of the importance of student safety, the district requires that all volunteers who are in regular direct contact with students complete a yearly Volunteer Release Form for an Internet Criminal History check. This includes volunteer coaches and volunteers who travel on trips with students. Prospective and current volunteers will need to fill out the form and provide a copy of your current driver's license. This form is available in your school's office or on our website. Current volunteers, as well as new volunteers, are required to undergo a background check. We appreciate your cooperation. Working together, we can provide great opportunities for our students.
The Edwardsburg Public Schools maintenance/environmental staff is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of facilities and grounds in order to provide a physical atmosphere conducive to promoting educational growth. An investment for today's youth is an investment for our future.
ADVISORY TO ALL PARENTS
As a part of the Edwardsburg Public School district's pest management program, pesticides are occasionally applied. You have a right to be notified prior to any pesticide application. Interior applications are done on the fourth Tuesday of the month in all student attendance buildings. Generally speaking, pesticide application consists of glue boards with pesticide on the glue that is checked monthly and replaced as necessary. The interior pesticide application generally does not include any interior spraying and only occurs in classrooms on an as need basis. It is generally confined to the kitchen area, bathrooms and other areas where food may be present. In certain emergencies, pesticides may be applied without prior notice however if you request notification, it will be provided after the fact. These applications will be done after school hours. Exterior applications of fertilizer and weed control are scheduled during non-instructional hours. Please keep this notice for reference of the interior/exterior pesticide application prior notification. For notification of pesticide treatment done outside the regularly scheduled treatment days please complete the form below and return it to:
